School Play Therapy Packages

As a school, you may be feeling overwhelmed by the increase in children needing additional support with their emotional, behavioural and mental health needs and a decrease in available services. Play and Creative Arts Therapy is an effective intervention for children aged 4-12. Play therapy has been shown to improve confidence, increase brain plasticity, and even help repair a lowered immune system all of which can have a positive impact on a child’s attendance and attainment.

What Do CHT offer for Schools?

Colorful paints and art supplies on paper, with a child's hand holding a paintbrush, creating a colorful abstract painting.

All therapy sessions require a confidential space within the school environment and the therapist will provide the therapeutic play kit needed. CHT follows the Integrated Holistic Method work and works within the PTUK ethical framework. Sessions delivered in schools work within the school GDPR and safeguarding policy, reporting any disclosures of serious harm to the DSL. Most interventions are usually a minimum of 10 sessions and we will provide regular updates and a report at the end of each intervention as part of the service.

School budgets can be tight but funding can be found through EHCP’s, pupil premium, private medical insurance or shared with parents and carers.
